Even though I'm not at all satisfied with the results from my vocal attempts, I like to think that my Heart was still in the right place and, hopefully, for any open-minded listeners, that there's enough sentimentality within it to make it tolerable enough to enjoy. One of the inherent problems is that it could never be adequate enough to compliment my impressive Sisters in any proper proportion ( ! )
Lyrics
Who . . . helped look after you
when all you knew was just how to drool ?
Who . . . grabbed you those treats
when you were just too small to reach ?
The same ones that learned to Love
from Momma and Daddy
and The Heavens Above
I said, now, Who . . . always pulled cha through
when the streets left ya black and blue ?
An’ now, Who . . . stuck up for you
when The World didn’t know what was true ?
The same young girls that learned to Love
from Momma and Daddy
and The Heavens Above
Sisters, talkin’ ‘ bout Sisters
The Best thing about a Brother’s Love
is a Sister Full o’ Brotherly Love
Who . . . taught ya how to dress
When you were even more of a Sloppy Mess ?
Who . . . used ta give ya rides
when you weren’t old enough to drive ?
Same young women
who Paved the way
to send young men
on their Proper way
Sisters, talkin’ ‘ bout Sisters
The Best thing about a Brother’s Love
is a Sister Full o’ Brotherly Love
The same ones that learned to Love
from Momma and Daddy
and The Heavens Above
Sisters, talkin’ ‘ bout Sisters
The Best thing about a Brother’s Love
is a Sister Full o’ Brotherly Love
The Best thing about a Brother’s Love
is a Sister
I said, a Sister
Full o’
Brotherly
Love
